My approach blends both, so when you look back, nothing feels missing. Every emotion, every detail, every part of your story—preserved exactly as it should be.

Hi, I’m Abbey Proffitt, the heart behind Laurel Roots Photography! Born and raised in London, KY, I built my business as a nod to my roots—Laurel County will always be home. I graduated from NKU in 2019 with a B.S. in Environmental Science, but photography called me back, and I dove right in. Since 2016, I’ve been capturing life’s most beautiful moments, and by 2020, I was fully immersed in wedding photography, blending documentary and editorial styles.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m at home with my husband, Wesley, and our little zoo—two dogs, two cats, a fish, and a lizard (yes, it’s as chaotic as it sounds).
